Blushing Cheeks for Flourishing Spring!

Wow, okay this took me a little long, but it's been Easter and I've been doing uni work, wait... no I haven't. I've been lounging around. Ah wells.

Here we go!

So all the magazines are talking about how blusher is the 'thing' for Spring/Summer 2010. So here's a little article to get you going towards gorgeous rosy cheeks for this season!

You first need to realise where your cheek bones are. Some people have high cheek bones, some people have low cheekbones. I, personally am not sure if I have any at all! Haha. But anyway. Give a smile in the mirror and see where the peachy bits are of your cheeks. This is the part you want to hit when you are creating the perfectly blushed cheek!

Here's a picture of Dita Von Teese.

So, I've drawn an arrow to show the direction of her blusher. She has high cheek bones so her blusher starts quite high but the 'apples' of her cheeks come quite low, so she does her blushed drawn towards her mouth but finishing just by the 'laugh lines' would be.

It's a really simple look to do.

When applying blusher make sure to tap the brush on the side of your table, or even off the side of your hand to get rid of excess. It's much better to built up blusher than it is to create an obvious blush, and then try to blend it in. It won't look as good.

So I hope this helps, I was going to create a load of my own pictures for this article but I can't find the clip for my tripod, and my hands are super shaky today!

Should you need a new blusher decide whether you're a cool or warm skin tone. Place a baby pink item next to your face in a mirror and a peachy, bronze colour and see which compliments your skin tone best. Then go for either a pink or brown blusher depending on whether you're cool or warm.

A great blusher is from Chanel at around £22 They do a great variety. I personally use their moisturising bronzing powder, it's a great brown tone for me! This is £22.50 from what I remember and is available from nearly all department stores!

As always, pictures are of the owners, and you can contact me via comment or email if you have any questions about this article or any previously or after!!
