Make-Up for Everyday!

Okay, so I thought I'd do a blog on this little issue that a lot of people seem to have.

Getting an everyday look that effective, sexy and not over powering can be really hard!! Some people find they don't want to wear any make-up and some decide they want to wear a full face with dark smokey eyes. I find that most people are happy with a fairly neutral face so this is what I'm going to explain today!!

So in everyone's make-up bag will be some foundation, powder, concealer (Optional in the day!), eyeliner, brow liner, blusher and of course some lovely mascara and gloss!!

These things are generally enough for a neutral look in the day!

Okie so you'll want to start with your foundation, apply this well but you don't need a lot, the sunlight is really flattering for our faces =] especially when it hides behind a fluffy white cloud!! Okie so once you have done this you'll want to brush over your face with some powder if you wish. (Of course before all this you can apply some concealer under your eyes and on any red areas of your face if you would like, I always put concealer on first because I feel it gives me a more even look than when I apply it after my foundation).

Next you'll want to apply your blusher in the way you like. I sometimes use a little shimmer on my cheeks to highlight my cheekbones as they barely exist!!

After this you could find a neutral eyeshadow and then an eyeshadow a few shades darker than your skin tone. the lighter shade can be applied to the lid and then the darker in the crease of your eyelid and a little above, making sure it is thoroughly blended.

You can apply a stroke of eyeliner, if you wish and then mascara. The look can be finished here with a little lip balm or you could put on your favourite gloss.

Either way you've created a lovely neutral look that you can wear everyday! Just don't forget that you can jazz it up in the evenings with smokey eyes etc it doesn't always have to be neutral!!



Tip of the day: If you know you'll be out from day to night take some eyeshadow, powder and lipstick to refresh the look. I have in the past taken some bright pink lipstick with me so that I can glamour my face up and Benefit's bad gal eyeliner and smudged it to create a quick evening look that didn't take me hours!
